The mediastinum region is the central component of the thoracic cavity. This is made up of the esophagus, trachea, thymus, lymph nodes, and heart and major arteries. Mediastinal Disorders are characterized by an abnormal group of tumors. These tumors can be cancerous (such as Lymphoma) or noncancerous (cysts).
